Deborah Metzger
Deborah is an extremely accomplished retail lease negotiator with extensive comprehensive experience in negotiating complex retail leases in shopping centers, enclosed malls, strip centers, lifestyle centers, mixed-use developments and stand-alone buildings, representing both landlords and tenants with over 35 years in the retail industry. Prior to Metzger Retail Lease Advisors, Deborah was employed with a number of major shopping center developers in the country and has been mentored by some of the best retail attorneys in the industry, eventually training attorneys and paralegals in retail lease negotiations. She is highly respected in the retail lease industry and is creative in finding solutions to bring the deal to the finish line in an efficient and timely manner. Keeping positive open lines of communication between tenants and landlords during the lease negotiation process is of paramount importance. Known for creative problem solving, Deborah efficiently brings deals to closure. Deborah has extensive experience working with complex retail lease issues, including, legal, construction, operations, management and franchisee issues. She has negotiated thousands of retail leases nationwide, including some with the largest retail tenants in the country. Deborah also handles the negotiation of retail lease amendments, lease extensions, termination agreements, assignment of leases, non-disturbance agreements, temporary license agreements and other industry related documents. Deborah can be of assistance with lease restructurings and renewals, as well as in the negotiation of letter of intents (LOIs) to help retail tenants and developers thoroughly understand the terms contained therein. Bill Rowe
Bill has over 35 years of experience in retail construction nationwide working with major retail developers and tenants, as well as restaurants and retail franchisees. Over the years Bill has built and organized a strong team of highly skilled Tenant Coordinators and Project Managers. He has also managed the Tenant Coordination and Construction teams for major developers of new and existing shopping center portfolios as well as for the expansion and redevelopment of shopping centers, including enclosed malls, lifestyle centers, big box stores, restaurants and smaller tenant shops. Bill has been an active member of ICSC sitting on the Certified Development, Design and Construction governing committee and served on the CenterBuild conference planning committee. Bill was also an Instructor at the John T. Riordan School of Development + Design + Construction in Scottsdale, Arizona, and Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Bill has assisted major retail developers in evaluating and creating processes and systems for Tenant Coordination and Construction departments. He also works with retail tenants, large and small, including restaurants and retail franchisees, to accelerate leasing, design and construction for successful and timely store openings.
